The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has forged a reputation as one of Australia's leading providers of on-campus and online education in Australia and overseas. In less than 50 years, USQ has become a prominent teaching and research institution providing education worldwide from three regional locations - Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich.
The Toowoomba region founded USQ out of their passion to provide the best possible educational opportunities for local students. The vision and determination of local communities has seen USQ grow and expand to become a prominent teaching and research institution that is now Queensland's number one university for graduates in full-time work (Graduate Destinations Survey 2012-2014).
USQ are focussed on student success and make it easier for students study a career-focussed, fully accredited degree. USQ provides students with the option to study part-time or full-time, on-campus or online and are Queensland's number one university provider for online study (The Department of Education, 2014).
USQ's focus is to provide students with personalised support. Each student has their very own Student Relationship Officer (SRO) to support them on their journey, helping them through challenging spots and celebrating their successes. Small classes and personal attention mean lecturers know students by name. Students who choose to study online are part of on-campus communities and are encouraged to take advantage of the wide range of facilities and support services on offer.
