The ‘Fees: international students’ rating

This shows the tuition fees charged for the whole program to fee-paying international students. These fees generally do not include the cost of books, travel or other incidentals. Fees range from ‘very high’, indicating that they fall within the top 20 per cent of the total range, to ‘very low’, placing them in the lowest 20 per cent.

The ‘Fees: domestic students’ rating

This shows the tuition fees charged for the whole program to fee-paying domestic students. These fees generally do not include the cost of books, travel or other incidentals. Fees range from ‘very high’, indicating that they fall within the top 20 per cent of the total range, to ‘very low’, placing them in the lowest 20 per cent.

Staff qualifications

indicates that 80 per cent or more of teaching staff in the business school hold a PhD or equivalent;

indicates between 60 and 79 per cent; and so on.

Corporate links

indicates that the number of corporate links at this business school is high enough to place the institution in the top 20 per cent of business schools;

indicates that the school is in the next 20 per cent; and so on.

This information is based on the number of organisations deemed to have a relationship with the business school. A relationship is said to exist if the organisation is a formal research partner, provided donations of $5000 or more within the last year, is represented on the board of the business school, have sponsored a lectureship or chair in the previous year, or provides mentoring or internship programs.

Faculty size

indicates that the number of specialist academics is high enough to place the institution in the top 20 per cent of business schools;

indicates that the school is in the next 20 per cent; and so on.

International management experience

indicates that 80 per cent or more of the academic staff of the business school have had at least one year of experience in management overseas;

indicates between 60 and 79 per cent; and so on.
